Every Story Matters organizes a B2B networking session for international publishers interested in the exchange of quality books for children and young adults with an emphasis on inclusion.

Do you want to know what this project on diversity in children’s literature is all about?

Are you interested in high-quality books from other European countries?

Are you looking for new networking opportunities?

Are you interested in meeting international publishers and showcase titles and authors you represent?

If your answer is yes, then join us on B2B!

Seize the opportunity to meet important and new contacts in the world of children and young adult literature.

We will start our 2-hour networking event with a presentation of the project (15 min) followed by a moderated individual meeting session among the participating publishers/editors/literary agents. Snacks and drinks will be available.

How to apply?

Please fill in this online form to confirm your attendance.

Any interested publisher/editor (acquiring or selling) can apply to take part in this networking event; however, priority will be given to publishers from the partner countries of the project: Belgium (Flanders), Croatia, Germany, Portugal, The Netherlands, and Slovenia. Up to 30 participants will be able to attend the session.

What do we mean by “inclusive books”?

Books, in which the plot, the characters, the illustrations, etc. feature diverse socio-economic or cultural background, gender, sexual preference or mental and physical (dis)abilities. By inclusive we mean literature that reflects and honors all readers regardless of their differences, whatever those may be.
